Virginia Sinking Fund Auctions 1 Million Certificates
Richmond June 15 The sinking fund commissioners sold certificates of indebtedness totaling 1 000 000 dollars for 1 010 670 dollars bearing 3 1 4 percent interest. New York bidders W Harris & Company say the market will set rates near 2.95 percent and premium lowers Virginia’s net rate to about 3.06 percent. Proceeds retire Robertson highway certificates due July 1 1932 and July 1 1933. The issue, in $1 000 denominations, matures July 1 1939 with semiannual interest January 1 and July 1.

Mosby 32 Dies at Home in Johnson Street
Charles M. Mosby colored, 32, died at 2:30 yesterday morning at his father Howard Mosby’s Johnson Street home after six months illness. He lived in Washington, Pa., fourteen years, returned here two months ago due to health. Funeral 2:30 Saturday at John Wesley M E Church with Rev. T N Austin and Rev G A Newman officiating. Interment Newtown Cemetery. Survived by widow, children, his parents Saylor and Valley Mosby, and sisters Goldie Smith and Valley Terrell.
