Man and girl plead guilty to chicken theft

In Lurry a court heard Ollie Walker and Floyd Bailey admit stealing several chickens during a housebreaking scheme. Bailey received thirteen months in prison while the 18 year old accomplice, the girl, got a one year suspended sentence. The trial noted an alleged romance among the defendants with Bailey’s wife present.

Roscoe C. Haga 50 Buried in Edinburg

Funeral services for Roscoe C. Haga 50 a native of Lacey Spring who died after contact with a high voltage wire while working on the Pennsylvania Railroad were held in Edinburg. Rev D Rhodes officiated. Interment followed at Cedar Wood Cemetery. He was survived by his widow Anna Barham two sons Charles and Richard two daughters Mrs A Overholt and Doris Haga all of Washington and by other family members.
