Father and son donate kidney transplant gift shared
Aaron Saufley and his father Steve both underwent kidney transplant surgery at the Charles O. Strickler Trans plant Center after matched organs were found within the family. The 17 year old sister was not eligible, UVA Medical Center did not harvest donors under 21, but a perfect six antigen match was achieved. Both are recovering at home and hope their experience helps others seeking transplants. Aaron plans to work as an associate minister this summer at Grottoes Church of Christ. Steve expects to return to farm work soon.

Wisconsin Supreme Court rules woman cannot remove sister feeding tube
The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled 7-0 that Edna Folz cannot authorize removing her aging sister Betty Spahn's feeding tube. Folz, 73, is bedridden and nonresponsive but not in a persistent vegetative state. there is no clear statement of her current desires regarding life-sustaining treatment.
