Elderly Man Sentenced to Two Life Terms in Murders

James R. Osterman, 170 years old, received two life sentences plus four years after a Madison County jury found him guilty of first degree murder in the deaths of his nieces Wilma Bowman and Aurelia Farr. He was acquitted of attempted murder of his wife. He admitted shooting the two women and had been heavily drinking.
