Ashby district school board appointed teachers for the coming session in its office. Several positions remain vacant due to contests or lack of applicants. Appointments include Victory T. as principal at Victory, with several assistants named for Mount Crawford and Clover THM, while others remain unfilled. Some schools such as Dry River and Pleasant Valley have no teachers named. All board members were present.
Mrs Thomas Seddon Taliaferro of Pleas ant Valley becomes one of fifteen women elected as delegates to the Democratic national convention in St Louis on June 1. Rock Springs Wyoming and Marande Wyoming are home to delegates Mrs Pallaferro and Mrs Mary G C Bellamy. Mrs Taliaferro is daughter of G William Ramsay of Alexandria Va. Kansas California and Washington each choose four women. Arizona one. Wyoming two.
