Rockingham County increased its year to date building permits to more than 1.65 million after May, with 26 new dwellings approved and a major 18 000 office project for Heatvole Hatchery on Kratzer Road near the County Fair Grounds. The May total of 323 000 brings three month permits to over 1 400 000 and countywide activity spans home farm and poultry structures across all areas, with one large 200 000 addition to the Belle Meade Motel noted.
