Crash Kills Valley Teen Near Mount Jackson
A New Market teenager, John Lee Howdyshell, 17, died in a three vehicle crash near Mount Jackson Thursday. Howdyshell ran a stop sign at South Middle Road and Orkney Grade, colliding with a westbound 2007 Chrysler van driven by Marshall R. Howser, 59, of the local area. The impact also involved a stopped 2016 Nissan Altima. Howdyshell was ejected, not wearing a seat belt, and died at the scene.
