Travelers advisory remains in effect with windy conditions and occasional snow. Snow accumulations up to three inches expected, with highs in the 30s and overnight lows in the 20s. Gradual clearing will occur tonight and Thursday, with continued wind and Thursday highs in the 30s.

Blue Ridge Community College in Weyers Cave will offer five printing technology courses this winter quarter. Subjects include lithography binding and finishing color stripping layout and design and lithographic chemistry. Foreman Henry Cowden of a Lee County jury says he may have voted to convict Georgia businessman R L Herring of arranging Hill slaying to cover fraud, believing a law enforcement bribe offered to secure a guilty verdict. Cridlin filed affidavits detailing late trial calls seeking payoff, Cowden says the bribe may have influenced him.
