Prosecution rests case in Hunters Ridge murder
In Harrisonburg prosecutors rest after eyewitness testimony in the Kaman Iman slaying. They focus on social media posts cellphone data and jailhouse informants against Olmedo Pena Pinedo 26 charged with first degree murder two counts armed robbery assault by mob and firearm use for the Oct 19 2017 shooting at the Hunters Ridge apartment complex. Witness Tiffany Mathias Bowman 18 testified she stole 5600 from Pinedo s cousin and that defeat led to a drug deal robbery plan involving Alberto Pinedo Lafferty Jr and Shane Pouncey. Lafferty and Pinedo allegedly boxed in Bowman s car and fired at Imani who died May 10. Lafferty Pinedo and Pouncey fled police arrested Pinedo Nov 14 2017 in Beckley West Virginia. Lafferty is charged with principal in the second degree to first degree murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
