Man Found Dead From Apparent Fall Off Staunton Garage
A 57 year old Staunton man, Denton Ellsworth Gabler of 1513 West Beverley Street, was found unresponsive behind the New Street parking garage near New and Johnson streets around noon Monday. Emergency crews attempted to revive him but he died at the scene.

Abduction Ties To Slaying Victims In Augusta County
One of two victims in Sunday's fatal shooting in southern Augusta County had been abducted earlier this year. Rhonda Chaplin, 40, and her husband Timothy, 51, were killed in the early hours. Chaplin was abducted for a few hours in February, according to Captain Dwight Wood of the Augusta County Sheriff's Office. No name for the abduction suspect or their connection to the slaying was released.
