Six Drown When Ship Sinks During Violent Great Lakes Storm
Oswego New York September 26 six crew members of the steamer Rober val of Ottawa were drowned when the vessel foundered in a violent storm on the Great Lakes. Three exhausted survivors reached Oswego after nine hours afloat in a waterfilled lifeboat. The lumber laden ship sank after the bow was severed.

The Olivet Presbyterian Church at Derry and Kittatin streets unanimously voted to call the Rev. Alfred L. Taxis of Portland Oregon as pastor. The first ballot showed ninety four percent support and the call was immediately unanimous.
