John Yeomans Boyd longtime Harrisburg leader and first Pennsylvania Railroad Commissioner died suddenly at his 124 Pine Street home in his fifty second year. Heart trouble caused death with wife and four children surviving. Funeral likely Thursday at 2 pm. burial in Harrisburg Cemetery. Born August 19, 1862 in Danville, he moved to Harrisburg at age 14 and rose as a prominent lawyer and public official.
