State Wins Two Taxation Cases In Supreme Court
The Pennsylvania Attorney General's Department won two taxation decisions in the Supreme Court. One held that making sand from stone is not manufacturing and taxed a Kaolin and Stone Company. The other decided distilling firms chartered elsewhere but selling in PA must pay the ten mill tax, and PA-chartered but non distilling firms must pay as well. Deputy W M Hargest argued the cases.
