Coroner's Jury Cannot Fix Blame in Fatal Auto Crash
A coroner's jury in Harrisburg failed to determine responsibility for a crash between an Army truck and a Harrisburg Rail Ways car at Second and North streets last Saturday. The collision killed one convalescent soldier and wounded nearly twenty others. Witnesses gave conflicting speeds for both vehicles, and the jury concluded the evidence was too contradictory to assign blame. They suggested the accident might have been avoided if the street car had been under control and the truck driver had stopped upon seeing the rapid approach.
