U Boats Give Sailors 25 Percent Pay Bonus
Washington June 15 due to German submarine activity off the American coast the Shipping Board ordered a bonus of twenty five per cent of monthly wages for all seamen on American merchant vessels in coastwise West Indian and Central American trade.
