York Feb 28 Frederick Hart was indicted for robbing a subway rider of 2 dollars after a December 1 incident. A few days ago Mrs Wart reported her husband Burgwart had talked of the holdup in his sleep. Wart and another man face charges.

Ashes are currently collected every ten days in residential areas and weekly from hotels and other sites. starting April 1, semi monthly collections begin. Garbage is collected weekly now with semi weekly trips starting May 1.
Washington reports that President Wilson’s return to France is set with a Wednesday sailing aboard the George Washington. He will stop in Philadelphia to visit his daughter and new grandson and then proceed to New York for a public speech before sailing that evening. Tumulty denies a press report claiming the Irish question is a matter between Ireland and England and that Ireland has no voice at the peace conference.
Harrisburg readers note Rome reports Pope Benedict permits selecting another abstinence day during Lent replacing the traditional Saturday. The Lenten period begins next Wednesday and officials await official edict. In a separate note, about 600 people paid the 1918 occupation tax at City Treasurer Weber’s office prompting a one week extension. About 1,000 residents queued yesterday to pay taxes and water rents.
Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce officers announce a committee to work with city and county officials to push a combined courthouse and city hall building. George S Reinoehl says prominent businessmen from the city will oversee the effort and speed is urged.
At a noonday luncheon conference at the Penn-Harris the Rev. Mr. Klaer pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church reported on the Philadelphia conference of Presbyterians regarding the New Era movement. A further conference will be held at Market Square Church to decide the campaign form in that congregation.
