Coroner Frank L. Schaum of Huntingdon county said an arrest will probably be made in the Mount Union wreck that killed twenty people. An inquest into the deaths is scheduled for Friday. Federal and state investigations are under way.
Francisco Villa is reported ill in a mountain cabin near San Andreas Chihuahua and unable to direct his campaign against Chihuahua City and Juarez. His old wound reopened causing intense suffering as Villa bands roam Northern Chihuahua looting and destroying foreign property. Carranza troops concentrate in Casas Grandes to oppose Villa forces.

In Washington on February 28 Senators and Representatives weighed bills shaping U S policy toward Germany as tensions rise after the Cunard liner Laconia sinking. American diplomats in Austria are ordered to withdraw. Extra session appears likely as Congress debates the crisis and potential action.
Washington reports confirm the American schooner Lyman M. Law was not sunk by an Austro Hungarian submarine. The vessel was believed destroyed near Palermo after shell fire, with identity marks absent. Dispatches state a bomb caused the sinking, while President Wilson condemned the destruction as ruthless.
The family of Servian general Ilia Gorkovitch living in Nice was informed of his death when the Italian transport Minas was torpedoed on February 15. Colonels Bragantii Dou n litch and Milan Ristitch also died, with their families notified. Graham of the Harrisburg police died at 10 o clock this morning at his home 917 South Ninth Street He was appointed during Mayor E B Mears first administration and served as patrolman since then A years ago he was injured in an arrest and has been in ill health the last nine months Funeral arrangements have not been made.
John Wallace known as Captain Jack Crawford, famed Indian fighter of early frontier days, died at his Woodhaven Long Island home after a month with pneumonia. He wrote plays and poems and was nicknamed the Poet. He served as chief of scouts under General Custer during the battle era.
Austro German forces attacked near the northern Romanian front southwest of Kimpolung and claimed the capture of Russian hill positions. More than 1300 Russians were taken prisoner with 11 machine guns and nine mine throwers. Italy also attacked to regain hill positions in Cerna bend east of Paralovo, but Berlin says the assault failed with heavy Italian losses. Berlin notes operations in the German retreat area after several days.
Weather forecaster J R Demain predicts a 48 hour period of snow and rain may hasten the Susquehanna ice breakup. Reports show ice melting along upper West branch and Chemung, with Williamsport still holding. Snow depth near city at noon was seven and a half inches, with several more inches likely.

William McSorrie, 50, was struck by Pennsylvania Railroad No 11 at 7 am while heading to work on track improvements east of Steelton. He stepped in front of the passenger train and died instantly, leaving a wife, sons and a daughter.
Charles Schmidt, 25, a German interned sailor from the Kaiser Wilhelm II, was fatally injured this morning at the Pennsylvania Railroad office yard. He and Charles Martin, 26, of Chicago, were riding blind baggage between cars when trains separated them. Schmidt was dragged 50 yards and died en route to the hospital. Martin escaped with minor injuries and both men had worked in munition plants across Pennsylvania.
The Sun Shipbuilding Company of Chester Pennsylvania has received a Cunard Line contract for two standard ten thousand ton cargo boats. The deal, awarded earlier, was only today made public. Bethlehem Steel also won similar orders, with Sun reportedly the first American yard chosen by a British firm in fifty years.
