In Dauphin county court, judge and jury learn handwriting analysis from expert David M. Carvallo as Margaret Durkees will contest unfolds. The trial centers on forged will and codicil claims and the handwriting of the deceased compared to the contested papers.
Paris report states Julien Lemas, an expert criminal, was arrested after posing as a patient. He sought a gold crown fitting, stole a large amount of sheet gold from a dentist during a mold transfer, and was captured shortly after.
In Little Valley New York on February 27 Mrs Cynthia Buffum faces trial for the murder of her husband Willis Buffum. Her lawyer Patrick S Collins argued the courtroom confession obtained at a Buffalo hotel on December 10 was coerced from a distressed, intoxicated woman.
Mayor Hiram Sandford ordered removal of manual training department paraphernalia from its quarters and moved them to storage in City Hall. He will refuse maintenance bills for the course after March 1. School committee attorneys plan to seek a mandamus in Supreme Court to compel provision of school quarters.

The Interstate Commerce Commission resumes hearings to determine the legality of railroads charging extra fees for spotting cars loading on private spurs, ferry car service, and tunnel and storage services. Eastern territory freight rates may rise five percent, with about 25 000 spur tracks and sidings noted.
Consul Letcher reports Villa will permit two Americans two British representatives two Benton family members and two physicians to view the dead ranchman's body in Chihuahua City. Transportation and lodging will be provided. Secretary Bryan confirms the body is in Chihuahua City and says a commission visit will be arranged soon to view the corpse and decide disposition after examination.
