The Right Rev John W Shanahan bishop of Harrisburg since 1899 died at 2 55 am in St Josephs hospital Lancaster after internal ailment surgery. He had been ill about a year and his funeral services are set for St Patrick's Cathedral Harrisburg with burial in the cathedral crypt.
