A second blast hit Fanny Valentine on Sarah Street as coal ice turned to steam. also harmless.
Rear Admiral Bradley A. Fiske told the Pan-American Exposition that torpedoplane use could defend the United States by launching Whitehead torpedoes from aircraft. He claimed a $20 000 bomber could threaten a $20 000 000 battleship and cited reports of torpedo launches over the Sea of Marmara. He said a belligerent country plans large scale use of the plane.
