Washington February 12 A shift in diplomacy emerges as officials describe actual peace talks on a scale unseen, with extra official negotiations replacing secret roundtables. World leaders outline terms while President Wilson insists on fighting until Germany accepts justice based terms.
Emperor William urges recognition of German victory for peace to prevail. He cites hardships, warns that those who refuse peace will be forced to accept it. He says Germany seeks friendship with neighbors but victory under Hindenburg must be acknowledged before any lasting peace.

Next Sunday Harrisburg clergymen will center sermons on Lincoln. A congregational meeting of Second Reformed Church will consider calling a new pastor after Rev. Harry Nelson Bassler’s resignation.
