The Dauphin county and city face chronic delays as repeated city hall proposals fail to advance. Citizens endure long, multi-building treks for official access while county records risk fire loss in a rickety courthouse.
Associated Press report from New York details the Empress of Britain bringing 2,450 American soldiers with 405 wounded including ten officers. Boston notes the Canobie plans quarantine at about 8 pm with about 2,000 troops aboard mostly aviation units. Docking at Charlestown is expected at 8 am tomorrow and trains will take the men to Camp Devens for demobilization.
Berlin December 9. Two thousand six hundred American POWs at Camp Rastatt left for Switzerland over two days. Two hundred Americans in scattered German camps depart via Holland and Denmark. The last Americans are expected to exit German camps by midweek.
City officials and county commissioners will meet at 11 tomorrow morning to discuss placing a public comfort station west of the Courthouse in the space between the building and the curb on North Court street.

Marysville Pa December 10 A Marysville youth Sergeant Robert James Miller of Motor Truck Company 105 married Mademoiselle Suzanne Sauvalle of Soissons France in Challans August 27 1915. Announcement notes wedding bénediction in Challans with details from Suvalle family. Miller enlisted spring 1914 and served in France after departure.
State Fish Commissioner N R Buller reports trout rising to flies in December near Boiling Springs. He observed many flies over the water and large trout jumping, noting it is rare for trout to target flies at this season and likening it to spring behavior.
