Judge Harry Alvan Hall of common pleas court No 25 died in Philadelphia after a long illness due to heart disease. A 56 year old native of Clearfield County he led Clinton Cameron and Hill counties on the bench and in Democratic politics. Survived by his widow sister and niece. He was born October 7 1861 educated at Bucknell and Yale and served as U S district attorney and state senator. He would have retired next month. He served in the Sixteenth Pennsylvania infantry in the Porto Rican campaign and received foreign orders. His brother James Knox Polk Hall was a longtime State Senator and Democratic state chairman.
