Funeral Held For Edna Garrett At Doggett Grove
Edna Garrett aged woman long resident of Harris died after a 14 month illness. A large crowd attended her funeral at Doggett Grove church where she was longtime member. Dr J L Houston delivered the eulogy from Psalms 30:5, stressing sorrow and joy. Rev W L Goode presided. Mrs Bessie McEntire sang Just Close r Walk With Thee and Russell Tabernacle sang I Fly Away. She is survived by son Homer of Charlotte and brothers John New Jersey Solomon Rutherfordton Will, plus many relatives. The Foster funeral home of Gaffney handled arrangements.
