Allstate safety experts publish a booklet Hi Bike Pilots with rules for young riders. Key guidance urges obeying traffic rules, keeping bikes in top shape, and using bells lights reflectors and mirrors. Other tips stress avoiding busy streets single file riding and daylight use to reduce accidents.
Col Victor J. Fox, known author and publisher, will lecture on October 1 at 745 p.m. in Kerr County Freedom Forum. An admission will be charged. a freewill offering is accepted. Fox promotes anti communist views and reviews his books The Welfare Staters and The Pentagon Case.
The Wie Band Boost Club sponsored a barbecue and dice night with proceeds totaling 808.78 dollars. Funds will aid the band by purchasing instruments and supplies, though the thank you note omitted several item names.

The annual John Philip Kirchhoff reunion was held Sunday September 23 at Grapetown Mall with about 100 descendants. Out of town guests came from Fort Worth San Antonio Comfort Mason Harper and Burton. The group plans to meet again on the fourth Sunday in September at the same venue.
The Comal County Fair runs September 28 to 30 at New Braunfels Party Grounds with daily racing events in the afternoon. Features include performances, rides, exhibits, stock judging, music, dancing, games, and the German Beergarden. Officials note improvements and a large downtown parade planned by the New Braunfels Society.
The Harper PTA will meet Thursday October 4 at 3 p.m. in the school cafetorium to finalize plans for the Fall Festival. Special music and a devotional by Charlie Barrett are on the program with Mrs Belton Tatsch as leader. An executive session at 2 30 p.m. will review Fall Festival plans.

Leatrice Feuge daughter of Mr and Mrs Lee Feuge of Doss will ride the Stonewall Peach Float as duchess in the New Braunfels Fair Parade on September 28. She is a sophomore at Southwest Texas State College San Marcos and treasurer of the Ye Old Cheshire Cheese Literary Society.
Henry L Storey and his wife celebrate their golden 50th wedding anniversary in Kerrville with 200 guests attending from 3 to 7 pm at the Storey residence. Their daughter Mildred hosted, and a noon barbecue fed about 48 out of town guests.
Officers elected at the four day meeting August 7 10 in San Antonio include Ralph S Moser president Jay L Tatum vice president and Way Rader Pust Engratvony Lon Carroll secretary treasurer. They head the 32 member board of directors for the association dedicated to professional improvement of vocational agriculture teachers and maintains a state office in Austin.
Vitor Marsehall and Herbie Oehler attended the West Central Conference Convention of the American Lutheran Church in San Antonio on Wednesday September 19. They were joined by Mrs Marsehall and Mrs Chesterlla visiting Mrs Agnes Wright who is very ill. Also noted were Bill Wilkins and daughters of San Antonio and Miath Mas, Kean Hhahn of Miederebsburg visiting Mao agi Mie.
Mr and Mrs Arthur Lang traveled to Satila Amid to visit her mother Mrs Hannah Fall who remained with her. Lydia Kiarechwale Nadene Barker and Jeanette Rogers were visiting in Fredericksburg Mugiday.
