Gillespie county rancher Nolan Althaus near his northeast county home drilled a well that began seven years ago and reached an underground stream at 357 feet. Water rose within 60 feet of the surface, with granite 348 feet drilled through after nine feet of earth.

Gillespie County to hire attorney to collect past due accounts

Gillespie County Commissioners Court approved employing the county attorney to collect all outstanding accounts due the county for services such as road work and tank building.
