How Residents May Vote on State Wide Offices
Voters who moved into the county after May 5 1968 may vote in the county clerk office by November 1 per County Clerk Felix Scherer. A new law allows those moving counties to vote on statewide offices including President and VP and constitutional amendments but not local offices, during a special absentee like period from October 16 to November 1. Volunteers must be Texas voters for 1968 with registration and certificate, or an affidavit if lost.
