Reports show deer numbers dropping after doe hunting began on a field near Fredericksburg. Jenschke notes fewer deer locally and near his farm seven miles south of the town. Community interest grows in the Eastern Hill Country RC&D Project, including Koeffler's Sandy Creek dam plans and a survey by SCS. Lime kiln activity near Stonewall explains historic mortar use for the Texas White House and local houses. Also notes U.S. efficiency in farming, National Farm City Week, and the 18th annual Texas Range Management meeting December 6-7 in Anson.
