Mrs Herbert Durst of Fredericksburg visited Mrs Sidney Grona. Rev and Mrs P E Lowenberg and daughter were guests of Mr and Mrs Charlie Barrett. A Day was held at Clintown ranch by 4-H Conservation men with Nizal Hensel Brown Watkins Tarr Vene Cottle Arthur Bierschwabe Victor Wende Lee Schmidt Alvin Feller and six Harper School 4 H Club boys. Sumptuous barbecue meal served by Mr and Mrs Brown. Kenneth Parker and family of Brownsville visited Harper relatives. son Terry Lynn returned home with them. Dr Fred Garland and wife bought a new home in Kingsville where he heads the chemistry department at Texas A&M. Maxie Baumann and son of Kerrville visited his mother Mrs Arthur Baumann.

Week of Prayer Observed by WSCS at Methodist Church
The WSCS Week of Prayer program at the Methodist Church featured a violin solo by Mrs. Forrest Bode with Lorene Oehler on piano, a gift offering aiding Settlement Houses, and an inspirational study on prayer by Rev. B. E. Breihan. Mrs. Felix Kensing presided, Mrs. Wentworth reported on the Austin WSCS conference, and the meeting closed with a piano piece by Mrs. Wentworth.
