Harper Volunteer Fire Department to Complete New Ambulance Building
The Harper department reports a new ambulance building on a side street between the Texaco Service Station and the Elbert Feller residence. Construction uses a concrete slab and steel frame with light green walls and roof. Volunteers supplied labor and materials, with thanks to Mr and Mrs Chester Tatsch for site access. Frontier Junior Rodeo a Great Harper Lions Event
The Harper Lions report strong attendance and successful 14th annual Frontier Junior Rodeo with parade and rodeo participants. Thanks go to law enforcement, highway department, ambulance crew, volunteers, and Darrell Holmes for barbequing meat. Winners include Mitch Maner and others in pony races and calf roping. Lions Club Soil Conservation Service awards were presented at the banquet by Jonny Ohlenburg to local figures including Norman J. Dietel and Sidney Henke.
