Historic courthouse dedication planned in Fredericksburg
The old Fredericksburg courthouse will reopen Sunday at 2 30 p m with a dedication ceremony. Donors Mr and Mrs McDermott and Mrs Grace Milam will be honored. speaker John Ben Shepherd will lecture as Bill Petmecky presides. A patrol of scouts will raise flags, and a full program includes band performances and a tour of the restored building.

Mrs Karl Klaehn nee Lina Lang 60 died Sunday night April 30. Born April 23 1907 in Chiplespie County to Otto and Emma Dittmar Dang. She married Karl Klaehn November 24 1926 in Feder iksburg Texas and helped run Harper Locker Plant. Funeral May 2 at James Lutheran Harper with burial in Harper Cemetery. Survivors include husband a son and several daughters and brothers.

Doerr Receives Lutheran Leader Conference Scholarship
Rev. W. E. Doerr pastor of James Lutheran Church of Wage per was notified he won a scholarship to attend the Lutheran Binl Leader Conference at Philtim Scout Ranch this July. The award covers registration and accommodations for him and his wife. Philmont near Cimoieron New Mexico spans about 130000 acres and hosts Boy Scouts of America training programs. Doerr is Scoutmaster of Troop 130 in Harper.
