Liberty Bell stories and a modern mail message
An article recounts the Liberty Bell’s historic peals from 1757 to 1783 marking events from Benjamin Franklin’s departure to American independence. It notes the bell’s crack in 1835 and 1846, its display, and a new message about 10 cent international mail rate promoting liberty. It weaves in local rodeo coverage and a technical award for a Baytown engineer, with multiple community notes.
