Black Market Lumber Unsuited For Home Building
Gene Ebersole of the Lumbermen's Association of Texas warns green black market lumber is unfit for homes. He cites failed builds from buyers who paid high prices to truckers selling saw green lumber. Dealers report real estate transfers dropping as buyers reject sap running, poorly milled timber. A buying strike is hoped as truckers exit the market. Sgt Houston Scarborough and wife of Brownwood visited his father over the weekend.
