Eisenhower opposes federal aid to education attack on Morse
In a Columbia commencement context General Eisenhower denounces federal aid for education as centralization warfare and condemns the National Education Association for distributing Morse’s critique while omitting Eisenhower’s positions. He warned against federal meddling and urged support for aid only if limited and non interfering. He also noted Morse’s tactics as demagogic and misleading.
