Rutledge well marks first step in Gillespie range plan
Rutledge drilled a stockwater well on his ranch west of Fredericksburg and marked a crossfence route to pipe water to two pastures and livestock pens. The project, part of a basic range conservation plan with the Gillespie County Soil and Water Conservation District, aims to improve deferment and grazing management this winter.
