Kimble County ASCS reports 86 percent approval from 158 ballots in the Mohair Advertising and Sales Promotion referendum. Of 136 favorable producers owning 72 269 Angora goats, 22 opposing producers own 11 845 goats, about 85.9 percent represented. Final county results due by Feb 24, national results next week.
St James Lutheran Church Women met February 16 with a hymn opening and devotion by Mrs Elmer Lange. ALCW study introduction featured a table display of denominations in Harper and Gillespie counties. Rev W E Doerr led a Bible study on Jesus authority and power. Business approved cabinet work. praise and roll bandages planned February 23. Officers listed for 1967. March program highlighted. The Women of Presbyterian Church met February 16 at the church manse with twelve members present. Plans to hold a post March workshow were discussed. Three women were appointed to care for church flowers each month. Mrs J R Peril gave an engaging Bible study on Thank God for Partners from the Acts of the Apostles. A clothing and accessory box will be at the church for donations to the State Home. Next meeting is March 16 and the Bible study will continue. Mrs Earnest spent the past week with Mr and Mrs Edwin Klein and family.
Carver’s Churches invite parishioners to First Baptist Church led by Rev. Chastes Price with a Sunday School at 10 and Worship at 11. An Evening Service follows at 8. Brotherhood meets first and third Wednesdays at 7 30. Also First Pentecostal Church led by Pastor Carlos B Parker offers Bible study Wednesday at 7 30.
Sunday services listed including Sunday School Morning Worship and Evangelistic Service with open invitation. Catholic mass timings for Sunday Feb 26 and weekly devotions listed. Additional church notices include Study Club, midweek Mass, and Lent devotions with walk in welcome and a Presbyterian church notice with superintendent and Women's Association meeting.

Dr. Horace M. King presides at Sunday service 8:45 a m with Congregational Worship. Official Board meets first Tuesday each month at 7:00 p m. Harper Circle of Woman's Society of Christian Service meets at 2:30 p m.
