Harper churches invite all to attend services this week

Harper area churches extend welcoming notes for the week. First Baptist led by Rev. Charles Price offers Sunday School at 10:00 am and worship at 11:00 am with evening service to follow, while First Pentecostal led by Rev. Carlos B. Parker provides morning worship at 10:30 am and evangelistic service at 7:00 pm. Catholics offer Mass times and Lenten devotions on Wednesdays and Fridays. United Presbyterian under Dr. Willard Moster schedules worship at 11:00 am and Sunday School at 9:00 am with Women’s Association meeting monthly.

New Estimated Tax System For 1969

New estimated tax forms and instructions are being mailed to about 10 million taxpayers nationwide for 1969. People should read the instructions to determine if they must file an estimate, as no declaration is needed if withholding would keep estimated tax under 40 dollars. Some avoid filings by increasing wage withholding, and forms include four payment vouchers with pre addressed envelopes. Texas Issues New Reflectorized License Plates for 1970

Texas plans to register over 7.2 million motor vehicles with black on white plates this year. Plates are reflectorized for safety and registration runs February 1 to April 1 at county tax offices. Owners must provide title proof, last year’s receipt, current address and ZIP code. Fees start at 5.30 dollars with tiered rates by vehicle weight and 0.35 per 100 pounds over 6,000.
