Religious leaders cite home disintegration from tech era

Dr. R H Edwin Espy warns of modern family disorientation caused by technology and cold war pressures on youth. He urges a total gospel approach as the remedy. The United Presbyterian Church in Miami plans a Cuban refugee center at 511 Northwest 27th Avenue with $12,000 set aside. The center involves Rev Ernesto Sosa and cooperation from Florida Presbytery and Southeast Presbytery. The National Methodist Convocation on Urban Life in America will meet February 26 to 22, 1962 to discuss ministry in growing metros.

Methodist Convocation Launches Inner City Emphasis in St Louis

In St Louis about 1200 people attend a quadrennial convocation co sponsored by the Bishops Committee on the Convocation and the Department of City Work of the Division of National Missions. The gathering launches a nationwide Methodist emphasis on the inner city tied to the 1960 64 quadrennial program. Workshops and conferences will be held on an episcopal area basis.

Randolph leads as outstanding conservation rancher with cedar removal deferred grazing and range protection. Little parks deferred grazing and fire recovery while Nelson manages wildlife with feeders and conservative harvest on South Llano River ranch. Local clubs and chambers recognize the champions with plaques at spring presentations.
