Stolen Ford Pickup Recovered After Crime
A 1973 Ford pickup was stolen from Cleto Martinez at 205 E College Street after 11 PM Monday. Police issued alerts statewide and by 10:40 AM Tuesday the wrecked vehicle was found between Hunt and Ingram on the old Junction highway, with DPS in Kerrville continuing the investigation. The thief's whereabouts were unknown.

Gillespie 4-H Winners to Compete in Sweetwater Show
Gillespie County 4-H members earned spots in the February 15 District 7 Food Show at Sweetwater and the concurrent project show in Nolan County Coliseum. Forty-nine youths exhibit in foods and projects under County Agent Leta Ann Metzger. winners advance to intercounty contest with 19 districts.

Friendly Sewing Circle hosts benefit quilt at Mrs Kramer home
The Friendly Sewing Circle held a benefit quilting session at Mrs. Alfred Kramer’s home after a period of holidays and illness. Attendees included Larry Kramer visiting from New Braunfels and relatives of Kerrville. Local social visits and family gatherings filled the weekend. A separate note reminds landowners to mail shooting preserve and harvest records to Austin rather than the county courthouse and to include all harvests from lease and non lease hunting.

25th Annual Easter Pageant Slated at Junction
The Junction Easter Pageant reaches its 25th year with origins at the Fair Grounds started by Brother J B Jordan. Attendance grew from 800 in the second pageant to about 10 000 now, with stages spanning 150 to 200 yards. The event is sponsored by the Junction Men's Bible Class and planned for March 29 with plans for 1975 underway.
