Slur Sparks Suspension Of East Chicago Teacher
John Dreesen said Miss Nelle Mills a 58 year old East Chicago high school teacher is suspended pending a hearing on alleged slur at a Roosevelt memorial service. Accusations include praising the flag and blaming the President for the war with Japan. Mills denies the charges and refused to resign. A May 17 hearing is scheduled to decide permanent suspension.
