Highlights include 27 routine patrol, 9,100 man hours, 143 accidents with 8 killed and 62 injured, 1,336 traffic arrests including 43 DWI and 492 speeding, 2,295 warnings, 3,631 total violators contacted, 21 lectures, 3 safety films. In the San Antonio Area Bexar and neighboring counties there were 88 accidents, 5 deaths, 41 injuries, and 74,527 dollars property loss. Main accident factors cited are speeding, off roadway, wrong side, DWI, improper turns, and right-of-way violations.
