Pioneers Move to Harper and Early Texas Trails
The article recounts pioneer travel without canned goods or bread, wagon trains paused for baking and washing, and camps near Camp Verde with camel experiments. It traces the Cooke family migrations to Kerr and Gillespie counties, the Harper post office origin named after Frank Harper, and the Watkins family roots with extensive descendants.
