Melvin Stubblefield 42 of Blytheville Arkansas husband of former Emeline Rode died in a private plane crash Saturday August 23 in Stuttgart Arkansas. Survivors include his wife four children Bret Kurt Todd Tanya and his parents in law. Funeral services were held August 27 at 4 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church Cherry Springs. Burial followed in Christ Lutheran cemetery. Beckmann Funeral Home handled arrangements.
The North Texas Bicentennial Youth Fair will be staged October 4 and 5 at Will Rogers Memorial Center Fort Worth. Entries close September 15 with auditions September 13 and 20. Prizes range from 100 for top group to 25 for top individual. tapes pictures and applications accepted by Sept 15.
