Missionaries Named First United Church Team to East Africa

The Rev and Mrs Din Dayal are appointed as the first missionaries of the United Church of Northern India to East Africa. They plan to depart for Nairobi Kenya by the end of September 1955. Dayal holds BA from Allahabad University and BD from Serampore University. He studied communism impact on India and the church and has written extensively on the subject. He served two years as chaplain at Allahabad Agricultural Institute.

Hunters Urged to Hold Fire Pre-Season Warning From Texas Game Officials

The Director of Law Enforcement for the Texas Game and Fish Commission orders maximum patrols to deter pre season hunting. Wardens report deer white wing and mourning dove and quail shooting. Penalties are heavy and hunting privileges may be revoked. Four men fined for pre season quail shooting. Many doves still nesting potshooting an adult dove could harm the young.

Visitors from San Angelo and Sugar Land visited local families while Billy Gale Sageser joined relatives. Roland Tatsch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Tatsch, was seriously hurt in a Saturday night car wreck near Fredericksburg.
