Simon Cosper of Orange Texas spent the weekend at Liverston Shipyards with his wife who remained longer. Mrs Roy Cottle returned from visiting her sons Carroll and Howerd Cottle and attended her grandson Bobby Cottle’s wedding to Nancy Brown in Rocksprings. Mrs Forest Strentz of Kerrville drove Mrs Cottle home later. The Cottle group visited Mead Roy Raymond Cottle with Archie Lenson V A Cottle and Pete Casper. Gillespie County Fair Grounds announces major improvements ahead of the annual fair. A new sound system by Lester Behrends is installed to replace the old setup. Paving at Fourth of July work finished, dust eliminated, cattle washing facilities expanded for hogs, and improved access from Exhibition Hall to concessions. Texas Oldest County Fair aims to be the biggest and best yet.
