Last Rites Held For Mrs A Hopf in Harper
Funeral services for Mrs. W A Hopf nee Ella Grosenbacher were held at St James Lutheran Church Harper with Dr W J Goerner officiating. Interment was in Harper Cemetery. Pallbearers included Dayton Rahe Dennis Parker Harold Rahe Dean Hopf Erato Hopf and A C Adams. The 66 year old widow died Tuesday morning after a lengthy obituary. Survived by husband son Glenn Honf Harper and daughter Trene Mrs Robert Nittmar, with siblings Arthur Grosenbacher Fredericksburg Walter Grosenbacher Tyrone Missouri and four sisters. She was born February 3 1890 in the county.

Sixty-One Counties Added to Drought Feed Aid Program
Walter T. McKay announced that emergency drought feed assistance was designated for sixty-one more Texas counties, bringing the total to 139. County committees may accept applications from farmers and ranchers through August 31, 1956, for feed to support basic livestock herds through September 30.
