Harper High Band Attends Fiesta in San Antonio
The Harper High School Band under director Henry M Streety rode from Kerrville to San Antonio for a Saturday outing. They visited Brackenridge Park Chinese Sunken Gardens and the San Antonio Zoo, rode Playland Park rides, ate at Luby's, and joined the Fiesta Flambeau parade crowd on Houston Street before returning home. Sponsors included Mr Streety and several district mothers. Band Boosters Club thanked for support.

Harper FFA Land Judging Team Takes Second At State Contest
Harper FFA Land Judging Team coached by Clayton Lassy earned second place at the state Land Judging Contest on Friday April 22 receiving a golden cup. Individual Leslie Esquell finished second high and won a belt buckle. teammates were Lloyd Wendel Charles Ahrens and Lawrence Metzger Jr. This marks Harper's second top five finish in three years seeking national competition in Oklahoma City.
