Harper Juniors Win at Junior Track Meet
Harper students dominated the Elementary School Interscholastic Meet at Kerrville on April 7 1956 with first place finishes in the 50 yard dash George Mains 181 and 75 yard dash Douglas Bode first place in 75 yards the 100 yard dash Douglas Bode second and the four man 440 yard relay team Spencer Maines Tatsch and Bode taking first. The Round-Up junior class play Along Came Charley staged April 4 and 5 drew strong attendance and praise with proceeds earmarked for the May 10 Junior-Senior Banquet Royal Combo to perform at the Prom plans advance as the community thanks supporters. Dr W J Goerner and Mrs Max Lang attended the Texas District American Lutheran Church convention in San Antonio. Mrs Albert Kramer and son Clarence visited relatives in Midway and the Markworths visited the K Kaiser family in Junction.
