Fredersburg Machine Shop to Open House Friday
The Fredericksburg Machine Shop, a Gillespie County staple, announces an open house on Friday July 4 with free registrations and many prizes. The new marbleized yellow tile building replaces the old frame structure and features a 131 by 50 foot main block housing offices, a display room, and more. Construction began in 1945 46 with finishing touches applied recently.

Built under E L McFarland with helpers. purchased in 1943 by Arnold Klinksick Albert Klaerner and Henry Pfeuffer. Gilbert Ottmers joins 1946. Staff grows from eight to twenty two. Mike shop hosts open day with prizes.
