Shelby County Fair officials announce the second annual Shelby County Fair Parade on Friday July 18 at 7 p.m. The parade runs from the fairgrounds to North Park for walking units. Auditor of State Richard Johnson released Shelby County property tax figures for the year ended June 30 1985 showing 8 874756 total with 2 410728 retained for county operations and 6 085258 disbursed to townships schools and cities. The audit notes higher operating disbursements due to road projects and 247531 in federal revenue sharing plus 334092 interest on investments. Burglary yields two years' probation for two Shelby men
One of two Shelby County men arrested for a May 12 break-in at the Rosman Glendale Shelby County Golf Course clubhouse received two years probation. Edward Gordon Robin, 18, Harlan, pleaded guilty and was placed on probation after a ten year custody sentence was suspended. Rodney Musich, 20, Westphalia, faces a June 9 sentencing after pleading guilty to two counts of second-degree burglary. Charges linked to an Earling Tap burglary were dropped. Musich remains jailed with a pre-sentence investigation underway for pending mischief in a separate case. Robin must obtain employment, work toward a GED, make restitution, and pay court costs under probation.
